Gallstone Disease

Gallstones are common but don’t cause any symptoms in two out of three people who have them. They sometimes cause problems such as pain, jaundice, pancreatitis, and gallbladder inflammation. Surgery is usually recommended for gallstones that cause symptoms. Mr Allenby-Smith performs surgery for gall stones but is also an expert in endoscopic therapy called ERCP. Further detail about Gallstones is available at http://www.patient.co.uk/health/gallstones-leaflet or please follow the link below for Mr Allenby-Smith’s information sheet on surgery for Gallstones.
